Plot Summary
Frank (Joel Murray) has had enough of the downward spiral of American culture. Divorced, recently fired, and possibly terminally ill, Frank feels he has nothing left to live for. However, instead of taking his own life, he embarks on a killing spree with cohort Roxy (Tara Lynne Barr), who shares his sense of rage and disenfranchisement, and together they launch a nation-wide assault on the country’s dumbest, most irritating celebrities.

Fresh: This funny, sick twist of social satire is certainly locked and loaded, even if its aim is sometimes off.
Rotten: In this "Falling Down" of pop-cultural observation, Goldthwait forgets the thrill of the chase; he's more concerned with piercing verbal barbs than actual suspense.
Fresh: The film features elaborate (and spot-on) parodies of mean-girl reality shows, YouTube nonsense and fatuous news reports but the people are thin and the plot meanders a bit.
Fresh: It's an intriguing satirical idea, and it works very effectively in places, while being tremendously didactic and heavy-handed in others.

Could have been perfect...
This movie was frustrating. It was thisclose to being perfect and could have been so if it were more even-handed in its message. For instance, Glenn Beck, the Tea Party, and George Bush supporters all got theirs, but there was absolutely no sign of Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher, or the entitled Occupy Wall Street crowd. Those people are just as irritating and deserving of the treatment conservative fixtures got. Instead of this being a funny reflection on the extremes of all political and social discourse in this country, it is a liberal fantasy in which they get to kill everyone with whom they disagree. It is hard to have a message of "be civil to each other" when everyone who is getting murdered happens to be from one side of the political spectrum.
Bobcat Goldthwait just became immortal.
Mental high five Bobcat. Even though the OnStar in the Camaro would have caught them five minutes after they took the car and I disagreed with some of the politics - there's no denying that Frank should be president and you should be his speech writer. Also, bravo to Magnet for having the balls to release this. The only thing really missing was a scene after the credits of you shooting somebody uploading a copy of the movie to the internet.
If you've seen the trailer and liked it, this is absolutely worth the ten bucks.
Un-PC, Wrong & Right in so many ways
You don't have to agree with a movie to like it, and you don't have to like a movie to agree with it.
But this movie will make you consider the state of things.
Good job Bobcat !
