Plot Summary

Ozzy Osbourne is one of the most iconic figures in rock and one of the founding fathers of heavy metal, however to many his “Madman” persona has overshadowed his considerable musical achievements. “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne” tells for the first time the story of his career from the founding of Black Sabbath through to solo stardom and his wider fame beyond. These were the wild days of his prodigious drug and alcohol intake, of biting the head from a dove at a record company meeting and biting into a bat on stage but also of the tragic death of Randy Rhoads and the reality TV show The Osbournes. The film follows Ozzy’s torturous and emotionally fraught journey from excess to sobriety, which Ozzy regards as his greatest accomplishment. Featuring never before seen footage, new interviews with Ozzy himself, his brothers and sisters, his children, his bandmates in Black Sabbath and those who both inspired him and were inspired by him, this is the first film to take viewers inside the mind and psyche of this legendary figure.

Makes you love Ozzy even more than you already do

I've been a big fan of his a long time, so couldn't wait to see this on Itunes. His son did a remarkable job capturing the real Ozzy through the years with the good, bad., and the very ugly. He's just a human being that has ups and downs like everyone else, and found a way in the end to succeed. I greatly admire what he came from and where he ended up in life. Being dyslexic myself he gives me hope that I can live my dreams of being a musician, so this film was very inspirational on a lot of levels! When I need to be inspired I'll always have this to watch. Well done!!

Excellent film

Jack did a great job showing us how life really was with Ozzy and all the elements of being one of the greatest rock stars of all time. Great story and so good to see Ozzy doing so well. Motivated me to do the same.

So cool!

Very enjoyable if you're a fan of Black Sabbath or The Osbournes. Obviously it's about Ozzy and his music, addictions, his marriages and his kids. Guy was wasted most of his life, poor thing. The one thing I missed was more about the music and the Black Sabbath/Ozzy albums. So if you're interested in that, check out "Classic Albums : Black Sabbath: Paranoid" and you'll be a scholar in all things Ozzy.
