Rotten: The filmmakers seem unaware that they're beating a dead horse. As the uniformly annoying characters stumble around, screaming and cursing, we don't give a hoot for their survival.
Fresh: The pic's creepiness factor is sufficient to rate this a notch above genre average.
Rotten: True terror needs at least some authenticity. That's perhaps too much to ask of a faked movie about a faked reality show that still can't scare up a fresh idea.

Underrated
Really good movie, despite the hate ratings if your looking for some really good scary movie that WILL make you jump. This is the movie for you.
Unexpectedly Great
This combines real TV and Paranormal Activity with a little extra of the horrifically frightening key elements that make up classic horror. I actually found it shocking, in a good way, how much they modeled the crew after the show Ghost Adventures...a good choice, because for me, that made it all the more believable that Rogerson's personality, along with the setup, direction, and showmanship for the reality show of the movie, all were modeled expertly off the show. I could easily picture these actors as the Ghost Adventures team every step of the way, and that terrified me. I say it is absolutely worth a rent, if not a buy. Even if you end up not loving it, you'll be frightened and intrigued, I promise.
Scary goes to a hole new level!
This movie is the scariest and I'd wierd at the same time..
But totally recommend it!!
