Plot Summary

Winner of 7 Academy Awards®, including Best Director! Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski, played by George Clooney. On a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalski completely alone - tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the darkness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

This is a film you rent NOT BUY!

It wasn't horrible but it sure wasn't as good as the reviews. I was expecting more out of this movie. It was a "EH" movie. I didn't find the events that happened during this film to leave me on the "edge of my seat" as most stated. It was just ok. I'm upset I spent the money to buy this film I really am. I would have been ok with spending $3.99 to rent it and prob would have just kept it moving. But bc I spent $19.99 to buy this film I must leave a review to "warn" others. Just wait until it become available to rent DO NOT BUY take it from me 😩. This is DEF categorized as a film you rent from iTunes or redbox. Save your money!

THE YEARS MOST GRIPPING FILM!

I was awestruck with Gravity. There are so many high points to this powerful film, I don't even know where to begin. I'll start with the cast. For me, this was Sandra Bullock's best performance she's given. Her reactions are so real and emotional that it left me in tears. You feel so much for her character and what horror she is going through. George Clooney also gave a fantastic performance and he had great chemistry with Sandra. The directing from Alfonso Cuarón was beautifully done. The camera work was phenomenal. Lots of intense long takes that make your heart stop. The visuals never end with Gravity. Seeing this masterpiece on the huge IMAX screen made me hold on to my seat. It felt as if I was in space with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. I can't wait to buy this heart-stopping, visually stunning work of art.
