Plot Summary
Demi Moore stars as Rachael Carson, a successful mystery writer whose life is shattered following the accidental drowning of her 5-year-old son. Knowing she desperately needs solitude and rest, her best friend rents Rachel a secluded cottage in a remote fishing village. But instead of a peaceful retreat, Rachel finds herself caught up in a supernatural murder mystery that rocks the tranquil town and threatens Rachel's fragile sanity - and her life - in this spooky suspense thriller.

Rotten: Plenty of stringy wind-swept hair and shapeless woolly jumpers abound, and at least there's picturesque scenery for a slow afternoon's viewing.
Rotten: Demi Moore is used to the odd supernatural love story (Ghost, 1990) and she works hard at Rachel, but the screenplay just isn't up to the genre. It's not super, it's not that natural and it's not very thrilling ... the end result is not even half right.

Very nice thriller.
I'm surprised that I hadn't heard of this movie before. I felt that it was beautifully acted and very suspenseful. I would recommend this movie to anyone that loves a good story.
suprising sleeper...
Well I took a gamble on this movie as well, reading all the reviews here , it seemed some pretty positive points to the movie. Demi Moore being a great actress and being particular choosy on her roles, I found it hard to believe she would pick a bad script. Don't take me wrong she has in the past but most of the time not and to this end it payed off well here.
Why I never heard of this movie prior to it being on Itunes is beyond me. Maybe the production house didn't feel the movie would carry well in the box office and didn't deserve the financing for advertisement. To bad because this movie is top notch in my book, excellent thriller and nice twist near the end. Not sure about the repeat value (IE once you know the end the thrill part is gone) but needless to say the acting was top notch by all actors, script and directing kept me interested and right about half way threw the movie you can't turn your eyes away just wondering what will happen next.
Very good movie, it should have had more support for advertisement in the theaters, it would have done well. Very good sleeper hit, you won't be disappointed. Worth the 5stars, well done Demi!
I've seen this film 3 times!
This is a very very good film. Even my mom liked it, and she falls asleep during Titanic and Lord of the Rings... So having said that, it makes a fantastic film to watch. Beautiful locations!
