Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: It's wholesome hokum, to be sure, but of a very high standard. – Paul Byrnes, Sydney Morning Herald, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: A perpetual Disney identity crisis that involves a blonde wig, a prepubescent Vertigo-meets Jekyll and Hyde-meets High School Musical. – Philippa Hawker, The Age (Australia), Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Won't shake up the movie world, but it is a family film that's easy enough to like while overlooking the fact it sprouts corn and movie cliches. – Des Partridge, Courier Mail (Australia), Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: There's a predictable plot, a few catchy songs and a shoe fight with Tyra Banks. In short: lazy but functional tween fare. – Anna Smith, Empire Magazine, Jun 24, 2010

Unbelievable...

I'm not afraid to admit I loved this movie, and its my all time favorite now. I know, it sounds crazy, maybe I am. Honestly, I was not a Hannah Montana fan till a few weeks ago. In fact, I thought Miley Cyrus was a joke. Then my friend told me that she saw the movie, and that she liked it. Then my Mom and I saw a preview of "The Climb" at the theatres. I wouldn't admit it then, but I liked the clip of it. And so did my Mom. She ended up dragging me to the movies to go see it kicking and screaming ( not actually kicking and screaming ) but by the middle, I realized I loved it. The music was good, Lucas Till was hot, and Miley was a really good actor. So, I loved the movie, and now I am a fan of the whole Franchise. Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana, the show, the movie, etc. Give it a chance, I think you'll find you love it too. Its a great movie, with appropriate humor (something all too lacking these days), animal friendly, and completely appropriate for all ages. Buy it, rent it, or however you want to see it. Go and get it when its out!

hate hannah montana

this movie was so cute. it was adorable. i can't stand hannah montana at home probably because my little sister has it on all the time, literally. but she wanted me to take her to see it, so i invited a friend of mine and her little sister to go with us, all three were big hannah montana fans. whoop de doo! i was dreading it. we went on opening night; there were the big crowds, waiting for tickets and seats. also most of this shows that get turned into movies stink, but this was good. i liked it and i don't even like hannah montana. its a must see for all ages. go rent it or buy it. i will.

amazing!

This movie is absolutely amazing! Its sad in parts, but it really shows you an in depth look at the Hannah character's life. You also get to see her old home and meet some of her extended family and friends in the movie. It shows the true values in life in the film. It really is about the climb.
