Rotten: Just as Mac and Me eventually devolved into a feature-length commercial for McDonald's, Harry and the Hendersons eventually emerges as a vegetarian screed. – Eric Henderson, Slant Magazine, Dec 1, 2007

One of my favorite 80’s movie!

I still remember walking into West Coast Video store and seeing this cardboard cutout. This movie was so funny I rented it twice and now thanks to iTunes I can buy it and watch it all over again and laugh

Great movie for older kids and adults

I saw this again for the first time in a very long time and was pleasantly surprised. Very entertaining, funny, and heart warming. I would not recommend this for very young children, as there is quite a bit of foul language used in humorous situations. Some of the scenes with Harry, etc may be intense or scary, but overall he is a gentle and lovable beast.
Rick Baker was and always will be one of the best creature effects/makeup artists in the movie business and is such a refreshing relief in a world full of films dominated by CGI.
