Plot Summary
In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry, Ron and Hermione, now teenagers, return for their third year at Hogwarts, where they are forced to face escaped prisoner, Sirius Black, who poses a great threat to Harry. Harry and his friends spend their third year learning how to handle a half-horse half-eagle Hippogriff, repel shape-shifting Boggarts and master the art of Divination. They also visit the wizarding village of Hogsmeade and the Shrieking Shack, which is considered the most haunted building in Britain. In addition to these new experiences, Harry must overcome the threats of the soul-sucking Dementors, outsmart a dangerous werewolf and finally deal with the truth about Sirius Black and his relationship to Harry and his parents. With his best friends, Harry masters advanced magic, crosses the barriers of time and changes the course of more than one life. Directed by Alfonso Cuarón and based on J.K. Rowling's third book, this wondrous spellbinder soars with laughs, and the kind of breathless surprise only found in a Harry Potter adventure.

Fresh: Thanks to director Alfonso Cuaron, a dazzling storyteller with a keen eye for whimsical detail, the third film in the Potter franchise is a visual delight.
Fresh: The first true Harry Potter movie -- the first to capture not only the books' sense of longing, but their understanding of the way magic underlies the mundane, instead of just prancing fancifully at a far remove from it.
Fresh: Harry Potter is 13 now, an awkward age for anyone -- even a boy wizard armed with magical powers. But Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the third film in the series, couldn't be more self-assured.
Fresh: Just like the books that the films are based on, this franchise gets better with each installment.

Best of the Series as of Movie Number 5
This one is by far the best of the five movies release so far. I was nervous at first since it was not only a new director, but also a new face in the seat of Dumbledore. However, I was put at ease after seeing the new scenery and special effects around the newly pimped out Hogwarts! The three main characters finally started to "come in to their own" as they say, as actors and I enjoyed them on screen much more than the first two (although, the first two were great in their own right). The only disappointment for me was the new Dumbledore; after reading the books and seeing the original cast for the first two movies, I must say I was a little let down. Dumbledore, to me, is a bit more soft spoken and reserved than the new one has proven to be. Overall, I give this one a 4.5 out of 5! Worth having on your ipod as well as on DVD for your home HD viewing pleasure!
My Favorite of the HP Movies So Far!
I know many people can say that they did not like Prisoner of Azkaban, that it didn't compare to the book, but I honestly have to disagree. POA is my favorite book in the series, so I had very high expectations when I went to see the film. I wasn't dissapointed! The trio in this film are coming into their own as actors and the whole cast is excellent! I absolutely love the direction and art-sy feel that Alfonso Cuaron has given this movie, and it makes it stand out from the others. If my computer had enough memory to store iTunes movies, I would definately be downloading it at this very minute.
Loved It!
I loved this Harry Potter movie! One of the best Harry Potter movies! Although, there could have been more in it, but it is still amazing!
