Plot Summary

Diana (Glenn Close) is a legendary superstar who's attracted to Alec (Jesse Bradford, Swimfan), a struggling young actor who lives in the same building as her daughter Isabel (Elizabeth Banks, Spider-Man 2), a self-absorbed photographer who's about to marry Jonathan (James Marsden, The Notebook), atemperamental attorney who's trying to avoid Peter (John Light, TV's "Band of Brothers"), a Britishjournalist assigned to interview his famous lover's ex-flames. These five very different people meet, connect and resolve their relationships in this "wonderfully-acted, intelligently-written and directed drama. One of the best films of the season" (Jeffrey Lyons, NBC)!

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: I must confess that there were long stretches in Heights when I felt that the proceedings were a tad too 'theatrical' for my taste. – Andrew Sarris, New York Observer, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: 'We don't know how to be people of passion,' [Glenn Close] exclaims to a collection of rapt acting students, early in the film. She might as well be admonishing the movie's cast. – Desson Thomson, Washington Post, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Heights is far from a perfect movie, but as a hint of Terrio's talent, it's an eminently watchable effort. – Michael Booth, Denver Post, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Amy Fox's play, with New York cliches for characters, was never going to hit, ahem, the movie heights. But cut loose in the middle of a comic-book summer, Heights is just different enough, just adult enough, to warrant a climb and a look. – Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel, Jun 24, 2010
