Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: The whole island seems to be in transition - huge developments threaten to deface the natural grandeur of the place - and this documentary may yet come to represent a vital memorial. – Anthony Quinn, Independent, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: The elegantly composed shots of the island's broodingly lonesome wide spaces offer clues as to the group's widescreen post-rock sound. Indeed, their music comes to seem site-specific, as environmentally immersed as the landscape art of Richard Long. – Sukhdev Sandhu, Daily Telegraph, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Sigur Ros' creativity and open attitude was at one with Iceland's ravishingly beautiful landscape. – Peter Bradshaw, Guardian, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: When the band and the film move in sweet simpatico they produce a few precious moments of transcendent grandeur. – Kevin Maher, Times [UK], Jun 24, 2010

Breathtakingly Beautiful

This is the perfect (music) documentary. From "Glosoli" to "Olsen Olsen" to the stunning, "Vonn," this film sold me on Sigur Ros. I discovered it totally by accident on IFC about 3 years ago. I've been a fan ever since and there's no going back now.

Someone wrote on YT, "When I die, I don't want to go to heaven. I want to go to Iceland.".

Truer words have never been spoken.

Unique. Dreamlike. Great.

A unique, dreamlike, eclectic musical journey with the band SIgur Ros throughout Iceland. LIke nothing else. Love it.

Amazing

This is probably the best music documentary I have ever seen. Its extremely peaceful and low key but Sigur Ros's music and the visuals of iceland bring you to a place that looks untouched by the troubles of man.
