Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: The parade of creatures Del Toro and his team have come up with as this scenario unfolds, starting with a tour of the legendary Troll Market that one-ups the Mos Eisley cantina scene in Star Wars, will make you want to tip your hat in wonder. – Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times, Nov 22, 2013

Fresh: Let's hope Universal stays the course and gives us that opportunity. People as creative as del Toro and his gang need all the support we can give them. – Tom Charity, CNN.com, Apr 15, 2013

Fresh: This film is happy to coast on its good humor and brilliant action pieces. Fair enough, since del Toro has taken the poetry of some of his best work and butched it up, creating some of the most amazing-looking creatures and battles of his career. – Bruce Diones, New Yorker, Apr 15, 2013

Fresh: Del Toro's previous film, the complex, visually arresting Pan's Labyrinth, demonstrated his growth as a filmmaker, and though the themes here aren't as profound, the striking set design and use of nonhuman characters carry over. – Joshua Katzman, Chicago Reader, Apr 15, 2013

This is a great movie!

Hellboy Blood and Iron is a really great movie. It is much better then the first Hellboy animated film Sword of Storms.

Great!

If you are a fan of Hellboy you will be a fan of this one. This one is by far much better than the Sword of Storms. The fact that the voice actors from the live action movie are behind their voices just makes it that much better. The story is great and combines the Action of Hellboy with a fantastic fear mytholgy, a must see for fans of action.

Don't waste your money!

Loved the movies but this cartoon was horrible. Bad story, crappy drawing and horrible color scheme to the whole thing. Reminded me of a Scooby Doo cartoon.
