Plot Summary

Set in the not so distant future, in Any Town USA, sixteen year old Herman Howards (Garrett Backstrom) makes a fateful decision. He enters his suburban school and kills thirty nine students, two teachers, and a police officer. Just before his arrest he emails his idol, journalist Lax Morales (Norman Reedus). "I want to tell my story on your show." Lax, haunted by his own fateful past and the loss of his love Isa Luz (Martha Higareda), now sits face-to-face with Herman. As he helps Herman to explore and understand his demons Lax must finally face his own.

Rotten: At least it doesn't lack in big moments where people cry and scream. – Amy Nicholson, Los Angeles Times, Jun 6, 2013

Rotten: The dialogue is all surface: Emotions are laid out on the autopsy table for the audience to dissect and analyze, but rarely feel. – Rob Staeger, Village Voice, Jun 4, 2013

Rotten: It barely tries to offer insight into its much-debated subject, content to rip the scab off an ever-fresh wound for the sake of controversy. – Sam Adams, Time Out New York, Jun 4, 2013

Thought provoking and humanistic approach to a difficult topic..

This is a difficult topic to approach in a realistic and human way. How does American society produce individuals that end up causing atrocities at an early age - ala columbine. How many sides of the story do we really see… This is a good step in the right direction in seeing the human being as whole person. The budget was low and can be seen in some areas of this film but overall it's a powerful, thought provoking, emotionally challenging movie...

Great Movie

This movie was very moving from start to finish, great flow throughout, and it tackled a major issue that many would find uncomfortable to even talk about. It takes a different approach and makes people think why these massive school shootings happen in the first place. I would highly recommend this movie.

Most of these are fake reviews.

I believe that Ms. Danner paid someone to write these or wrote them herself. The fact that it received one of the lowest scores ever recorded on Rotten Tomatoes speaks a little bit louder than these Redd--icul--us reviews (more of which oddly talk about Ms. Danner than the film). This woman is a no talent self promoter.
