Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Manages the considerable feat of creating six fully human characters who are quirky enough to transcend the stereotypes found in a typical indie film. – Stephen Holden, New York Times, May 26, 2011

Rotten: A lazy Susan rotation between storylines and monotonous settings building into synchronized, bathetic emotional crescendos that can't top the relief at the end credits. – Nick Pinkerton, Village Voice, May 24, 2011

Fresh: The parts are ultimately greater than the whole, but Adam Reid's offbeat debut suggests a talent worth watching. – Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily News, May 27, 2011

Fresh: The seeming randomness of the assorted human interactions in "Hello Lonesome" gradually becomes illuminating and just a little bit profound. – Kyle Smith, New York Post, May 27, 2011
