Plot Summary
When a motorcyclist is found murdered, the clues lead the police to the local bikers club. The murder victim seems to have been involved as a courier in a narcotics smuggling operation via Denmark, which leads Kurt Wallander to conclude that certain powerful people are attempting to take control of the drug trade in the region. After Isabelle is brutally attacked in her home, it becomes apparent just how far the powers that be are willing to go.

Rotten: "The Revenge" is well-made, above-average TV, but it seems small for the big screen. The plot is a bit predictable, and we're still getting to know the characters when the story ends.
Fresh: "The Revenge" is a smooth-enough entertainment that should appeal to Wallander completists and aficionados of the cresting wave of Scandinavian crime stories.
Rotten: On the whole this is a routine mystery tale existing mainly to introduce new characters to the Wallander universe and allow for future installments.
Fresh: An old-fashioned, taut, well-crafted thriller-complete with several wonderful twists.

Absolutely love this series! Acting, writing, staging, directing all first rate. The best adaptation of Wallander that I've seen.
