Plot Summary

In Henry IV, Part 1, King Henry IV (Academy Award® winner Jeremy Irons) sees his reign marred by uprisings led by young Harry Hotspur and undercut by the impulsive, irresponsible actions of his son Prince Hal (Tom Hiddleston). As the stakes get even higher, both sides converge in the epic battle of Shrewsbury. Also starring Michelle Dockery and Julie Walters, and directed by Richard Eyre.

This is a great way to get introduced to Shakespeare and be entertained as well.......great acting by some of the best around!
To Be Expected, Happily
After watching a certain couple movies with my child, (Thor, Avengers) and noting a standout performance by an actor heretofore unheard of by me, Tom Hiddleston, and researching what other movies, shows, etc., he'd been in, I came across The Hollow Crown series. I was already a Shakespeare fan, and this series did not disappoint. Wonderful performances all around, including the expected excellent portrayal of Hal by Hiddleston. Looking forward to watching the entire series.
