Plot Summary
“Henry & Me” tells the courageous story of Jack (voice of AUSTIN WILLIAMS), a brave young boy battling cancer. Stripped of his confidence and filled with self-doubt, hope seems lost until a mysterious stranger named Henry (voice of Golden Globe winner RICHARD GERE) appears, as Jack is to undergo a critical procedure. Great despite the Yankees
My wife and I were invited to a screening of this film in NY with our 2 sons. I really can't stand the Yankees but this had a good story and I ended up enjoying it. My 2 boys really liked it and have asked to see it again. My wife loves Cyndi Lauper so that was a bonus.
For non-sports fans!
At the risk of being beat up, I am not a fan of baseball. I mean, I love the atmosphere and energy at a live game, but I am only there for the hot dogs and beer. Not knowing much about the iconic players in this movie, I found myself enjoying the story and its message very much, almost in tears at one point, and then Googling the players when it was over because I wanted to be knowledgeable of sports history! What just happened here?? Go see it.
Heartwarming tale for the whole family!
I was able to see Henry & Me in theaters. Really loved it! Worth the money.
