Plot Summary

Two unlikely companions find themselves when they find each other in this heart-warming drama starring Henry Winkler and Sally Field. Years after his return from the Vietnam War, traumatized former soldier Jack Dunne (Winkler) still has nightmares about his experience. During a cross-country bus ride to California, he meets Carol (Field) and tells her of his plans to open a worm farm with some of his fellow comrades. But as his buddies drop out of the project one by one, it’s soon clear that only Carol can give the shattered man hope for a brighter future.
