Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Elliot Davis's pretty greeting-card cinematography, which lingers on birds, clouds and branches as it follows the seasonal changes, is better at evoking the passage of time and the rhythms of nature than all the sodden, pretentious dialogue. – Stephen Holden, New York Times, May 31, 2012

Rotten: [It] feels padded even in its brief running time; it's a slight mood piece posing as a character study. – Sheri Linden, Los Angeles Times, May 31, 2012

Fresh: The film stays afloat, if barely, thanks to Elliot Davis's uncluttered camerawork, a surprisingly unsentimental denouement, and performers who deftly undersell the script's corniest pretensions. – Eric Hynes, Village Voice, May 30, 2012

Fresh: A tactile, emotion-laden world of beauty, loss, recovery. – Lisa Kennedy, Denver Post, Jun 22, 2012

Simply the worst movie

Ok - I consider myself fairly "open" when it comes to movies: chick flicks, guy movies, indies, foreign films, classics. I like em all - as long as there is a PLOT and a purpose to the movie. This movie has neither. It is just sad… 100% of the time. The ending is particularly bad - makes absolutely no sense. Please don't waste your money. Find another real drama.

Josh Lucas is great in Hide Away!

Anyone who has ever had to deal with a tragedy can relate to this movie! I had the opportunity to see a sneak preview and I'll definitely be pre-ordering it! Josh Lucas and James Cromwell are fantastic in it and the cinematography is fantastic!

I just watched

I just watched this movie... It has potential, but it gets lost at the begining... Too short... Almost no drama... A lot of random scenes with no "conclusion". Bad movie.
