Plot Summary

A high-school girl named Kei Tsuchida, who is born with extraordinary athletic ability, joins a karate dojo and quickly outshines the boys. Despite her accomplishments, the master Matsumura does not award her the coveted "Blackbelt". As Kei's resentment towards Matsumura grows, she joins a rival fighting group called Kowashiya. The leader of Kowashiya lures fighters who are struggling for money as there is no guarantee of a promised future, fame, money or stability for fighters like them. Kei soon learns that the leader is planning an attack on her master Matsumura. Kei is shocked, but it is too late. The elite fighters of Kowashiya kidnap Kei and are on their way to destroy Matsumura. Matsumura, who never fights in front of Kei, now stands to save Kei. At last, the ultimate fight begins...

Mediocre

This move is mediocre... the fight scenes are hardly up to par. The speed or slowness at which things development is horrible. Watch Zatoichi!

Could be good, but just isn't

The movie is subtitled, not dubbed like the preview. My wife hates that in a movie.

There is not much to the storyline, but who cares in a martial arts flick.

The fight scene choreography is OK but with an annoying feature. They have that annoying playback of every punch and kick thrown in the film. First it shows the fight generally in slow motion, then shows it again in super slow motion... like you may have missed something. This is terribly annoying.

There is nothing to miss. Just standard --very basic-- Karate arts displayed, which the storyline emphasizes the basics and strong kata. The film would have been much better with the slow motion replays removed...

Really bad.

This is not the worst movie I have seen, but it is the worst martial arts flick. I watched 90% of the movie on fast-forward and it was still too slow. Seriously, 80% of this movie is slow motion replays of crappy fight scenes. Bad story, worse fighting. Not a recipe for success. At 99 cents, it is still too much.
