Home Invasion
If you're looking for something to keep you on the edge of your seat, with lots of twists, turns, and shocks you're not expecting - this movie is for you! Definitely not your typical "Lifetime Movie"
Honestly, I was slightly skeptical about any movie starring Haylie Duff - but I was pleasantly surprised. I honestly didn't have one moment where I thought, 'wow, I'm watching a movie with Haylie Duff - whats going on here?' She fits the "girlfriend-gone-crazy part" just right. Definitely her best role to date. (Material Girls, anyone?)
Lisa Sheridan gives an amazing, convincing, honest portrayal of Nicole. Everything that could go wrong, pretty much goes wrong in Nicole's life - and Sheridan's performance has you REALLY feeling for her and her family. Sheridan does a great job of making the audience feel like they personally know Nicole - she's smart and you're constantly rooting for her to put the pieces together and get her life back.
If you're looking for an edge-of-your-seat, suspenseful, realistic thriller, definitely check this out. It's smart, a bit cliche, but full of surprises and twists as it unfolds. I like to think I'm pretty good at predicting endings and what's to come - but I was honestly surprised (in a good way!) each time the film took a twist I wasn't expecting. The two stars, the smart story, and the amazing scenery (shot all around Los Angeles area, it looks like) are definitely worth a watch.
Lifetime should air this movie way more often.
