Plot Summary

The high school in Athens, Alabama, had the greatest football coach ever seen, until one fateful day during the state championship 12 years ago, when the coach's son was killed during the game. The town was never the same. After that tragic event, the legendary coach retired, and the once-great team suffered losing seasons ever since. The county decides to close the school at the end of the academic year, and there seems to be no hope in sight. Yet one student holds out hope for a miracle to save the school, and it arrives in the immense talent of an orphaned football player whose personal goals outweigh those of the team, and in the return of the legendary coach for "one last season." Starring Terry O'Quinn (TV's "Lost," TV's "Millennium"), Lacey Chabert ("Mean Girls," "Lost in Space"), Nick Cornish ("Psycho Beach Party"), Kirk B.R. Woller ("Minority Report," "Swordfish") and Mary Pat Gleason ("Evolution," "Traffic").

Hometown Legend

I don't know much about sports, but I liked this movie. It showed a type of determination that can be understood by people from any walk of life, even those who don't know much about sports.

The team learned how to work as a group of people and not just players in a game. When they learned to work as a group they learned to accept each member of the team. Each individual could have a part in making the team better.

Prayer can help a situation that seems hopeless. The movie is about people who learn to keep trying and not give up.
The movie wasn’t about everything becoming perfect, but it gave a lot of healing to a hurting town. They had suffered defeat for a long time.

It taught a valuable lesson that some difficult situations can be overcome in a way that gives hope for the future. Obstacles in life can be overcome. The town learned with the players to overcome their fears of losing.

At the end of the movie everyone in the town was excited. Amazing people can come out of nowhere and they can learn to help a town have some faith again. Good things happen when others give them a chance to excel.

I think the community gave a young man a chance to try his best and that is important. Today with so much competition to win this team and town both learned to try their best in a hard situation.

The town could feel good about what they had tried to do. To them they learned about little miracles.

The team also learned to obey and really work as a team. They also worked with what they had. That would be a challenge for a small school to compete with bigger schools. In the end they were in a big game. This came after about 12 years of failure. This should be an encouragement to anyone.

Boring, cliche, and stupid

Title pretty much says it all. Bad acting and an obviously low budget don't help either. I only recommend this if you have insomnia and need help falling asleep
