Plot Summary
Join four teams on an epic journey to conquer the world’s largest relay race. A 67-year-old heart attack survivor returns to conquer the race that nearly killed her, a family in mourning runs to honor the memory of their beloved, a group of out-of-shape film animators test the limits of their athleticism (or lack thereof), and a group of aging jocks show they still know how to have a good time. A celebration of personal determination and the power of family, HOOD TO COAST proves you’re never too old or too young to attempt the extraordinary.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Christoph Baaden, the director, loses sight of the fact that, for people who don't run, the cult of running is kind of boring.
Fresh: Expertly constructed, impressively lensed and surprisingly entertaining.
Rotten: Because the runners' standings in the race are never really established, and are largely beside the point, the film keeps cutting back to these increasingly sentimentalized accounts of hardship overcome.
Fresh: Can't get yourself off the couch? You'll find all the inspiration you need from this spirited look at Oregon's titular marathon.

Oregon <3
Not everyone will know what Hood to Coast is, therefore they won't think that this is a relevant film...but Hood to Coast is a legendary event if you know Oregon. I have grown up in Oregon and know countless people that have participated. It's really cool to see the event being filmed because it is a true accomplishment. It's the longest relay event, but it's run by every kind of person, and that is what this film shows...real people doing something huge.
Loved it!!!
Inspirational, motivational...and down right hysterical at points. Definitely captures the best and the worst part of running. The obsessive and those out to have fun. If you don't enjoy running...or documentaries this probably is not your thing...but for those that do...I absolutely recommend.
Worst Film Ever.
Absolutely nothing here worth your time. Actually writting a review about how terrible it is would be a waste of air.
