Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: What makes the film not just harrowing but transcendent is Cheadle. He does nothing traditionally heroic. He just presents a picture of basic decency, showing how, when combined with courage, decency can result in an awe- inspiring moral steadfastness. – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: The great strength of Hotel Rwanda is that it's not about superhuman heroism but simply about human decency. – Ann Hornaday, Washington Post, Jul 16, 2008

Fresh: Because of the subject matter, this feels like one of those films you see because it's good for you. But it also is an extraordinarily moving drama. – Eric Harrison, Houston Chronicle, Apr 21, 2005

Fresh: A story so powerful it can't help but speak to both the heart and the conscience. – Robert Denerstein, Denver Rocky Mountain News, Jun 24, 2010

Incredible Movie!

I had to watch this movie for 10th grade English for our persuasive unit, and let me tell you that this movie is very powerful and persuasive. This movie also is reaching out to us in the sense that we need to be aware of what is going on around us - not JUST in America. We need to be globally aware of conflicts and wars.

Very Touching

This movie will inspire you and also humble you at the same time.It just proves that one person can make a difference
