Customer Reviews

Great

All I can say is wow. The Main Theme is good and the Movie as a whole is rewarding. You wont be dissapointed. One of the better westerns I've seen.

Excellent High Def. version

Anyone that has seen this old epic on television would have seen the version with two vertical lines going through the film. The original movie was filmed using three cameras using the Cinerama technique. This HD version has cleaned up all of that and it is worth owning due to the excellent scenery shots. The characters come out very clear. One very few occasions one will see some artifacts from the old process. A couple of the scenes have a fisheye effect. All in all, this is a keeper for anyone who loves westerns.

Very good but....

A classic western to be sure with an all star cast but this film was oringal ment to be seen in 3 parts, and it loses a bit of it's magic by putting them all toghter and it can seem pretty long at times.
