All around great movie

If you are a big fan of John Garfield as I am, you will greatly appreciate his fine performance. It seems a little long at times but the music and drama work well and both John Garfield and Joan Crawford's acting are engrossing. The supporting cast is easily overlooked. This has been one of my favorite films for years! I have always recommended this movie over many other classics because people are often tainted by the easily remembered and oft seen "classics". I would rate this on par with John Garfield's performance in The Postman Always Rings Twice, Body And Soul, and even Force of Evil. Joan Crawford's performance in Humoresque was comparable to her excellent acted Mildred Pierce. This is a must see for those who love watching great classic stars giving performances that are hidden gems!

Phenomenal

Undoubtedly one of Crawford's greatest moments! Up there with "A Woman's Face" and "Possesed" (the second one)! It moved me deeply and I highly recommend it for all Joan Crawford fans. A must-see for cinematix buggs, the torrid, stormy romance between Crawford and Garfield, heightened in its intensity by the majestic and feverishly brilliant violin work of Issac Stern.
