Plot Summary
There are terrible things happening in the desert: unexplainable, frightening things. Tragic, inexplicable incidents; ever since she arrived. The Coltrane family's life has been devastated by an untimely death. Widowed Helen Coltrane (Melora Walters, "Big Love"), along with her teenage son (Jackson Rathbone, Twilight) and daughter, are given shelter by her reclusive and quirky gun-loving brother-in-law. As they grapple with the reality of their shattered, altered life and twist of fate, coincidence steps in with a seemingly lovely foster child (Sofia Vassilieva, "Medium") who appears touting a story that Helen's husband had pledged to take her in. And as they do, a macabre story of deception unfolds.

Not bad
Overall this movie fairly entertaining. The storyline is a straight forward thriller driven by vengence. The acting is good, except in the case of the mother whose reactions didn't really seem believeible. On the other hand, Sopia Vessilieva gave a wonderful performance and is becoming a very versatile actress. Jackson Rathbone also turned in a nice performance though Twilight fans will probably only care about the fact that he spends a good 5-10 minutes of the film shirtless. All in all, it was worth the rental fee and I don't feel as if I have wasted an hour and a half of my time.
great movie.
it's a great movie if you ask me. the acting is outstanding with a few comical moments. the ending was a little weird but this is one of my favorite movies due to the entire movie minus the last half hour or so. awsomeee movie.!
