Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Alfred Hitchcock's famous talent for brewing a mood of fine suspense with clever direction and cutting is spent on a nigh suspenseless script.
Fresh: A good, workmanlike thriller, I Confess is only fair-to-middling Hitchcock.
Fresh: While Hitchcock short-changes on the expected round of suspense for which he is noted, he does bring out a number of topflight performances and gives the picture an interesting polish that is documentary at times.
Fresh: It's entertaining, and the visuals speak volumes more than the over-cooked dialogue. Worth a look.
Customer Reviews
Tense, well shot film.
Awesome film, Hitchcock at his prime. All the acting is top-notch, except perhaps Miss Baxter. I find her acting style to be a bit of an acquired taste, but decent nonetheless. My only problem is that iTunes still charges a bit too much for movies. I wouldn't mind paying $9.99 for a brand new film, but come on, the classics?
Get rid of the Tomatometer
Why something so junky as a “Tomatometer” would be used by iTunes I do not understand.
"why can't I buy this movie, and any other'
I see these comments all the time, and have to agree with the person saying, its not Itunes, but the owners. Just want to add, its so obvious, Itunes has to be only too happy to rent or sell any films. So tell me, people who complain, would you like to attend business 101?
