Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: In a better movie you might play along with contrived plot twists and fake obstacles, but watching "I Do," a movie with thin characters and a languorous pace, you find yourself talking back to the screen. – Rachel Saltz, New York Times, May 30, 2013

Rotten: The combustible possibilities surrounding a same-sex marriage involving partners of different nationalities is turned into rather tepid stuff in I Do. – Robert Koehler, Variety, Jun 7, 2013

Rotten: A sweet, sincere, yet ultimately tepid story ... – Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times, May 31, 2013

Rotten: Uneven comedy/drama tackles hot button issues like gay marriage and immigration. – Frank Scheck, Hollywood Reporter, Jun 7, 2013

I DO

This movie will break your heart. Jack just wants to find love and take care of his extended family. Laws, visas and the government get in the way. DOMA and marriage equality are the themes to this movie. Everyone should see I DO to better understand some of the barriers the gay community have to deal with. David Ross is a talented newcomer to the film world. I hope there's more to come from him.

I do. I really do.

I had the chance to catch his film at last year's Frameline filmfest in San Francisco and I was really moved by this movie. The film tackled the issue of immigration in the LGBT community. It is the one problem that heterosexual couples don't get to experience and this movie tackled the issues very well. I highly recommend this film to all who are experiencing this type of issue. Highly recommend.

I Do and you should too!

Been waiting for a while for this film to arrive on iTunes. David Ross is wonderful as Jack and the story highlights the position that a number of people find themselves in.
