Plot Summary
From the director of the critically acclaimed 2010 remake of I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE comes a shocking new installment to one of the most controversial horror franchises of all time. Katie (Jemma Dallender of COMMUNITY) is an aspiring model on her own in New York. When she innocently accepts an offer to have new photos taken, the experience quickly descends into an unthinkable nightmare of rape, torture, and kidnapping. Through a twist of fate she is freed from her captors, but severely injured. She will have to tap into the darkest places of the human psyche not only to survive, but ultimately to find the strength to exact her brutal revenge. Costarring Joe Absolom (LONG TIME DEAD), Aleksandar Aleksiev (JACK RYAN), and Mary Stockley (V FOR VENDETTA), this unrelenting retribution thriller pushes the limits of violence and ruthlessness.

Rotten: A dreary affair that will thrill undiscriminating fans of torture-porn horror and nobody else.
Rotten: There are glimmers of thoughtfulness here in the initial characterization of Katie and in her long, slow recovery before she can exact her revenge, but they're ultimately snuffed out by this mound of toxic trash.
Rotten: With I Spit on Your Grave 2, director Steven R. Monroe returns and reveals that everything he seemingly did right in his first remake must have been accidental, for this horrifically misguided sequel is everything you pray a movie like this would not be.

Jarring!
If you thought the first one was gruesome just wait until you see this one. I can't imagine what the actors had to go through during some of the scenes. Although it was staged of course, there still had to be a level of intensity that was quite difficult at time, especially for the lead actress. This was the first film in ages that I actually almost turned away during the final scene due to the level of brutality. It was beyond gory and beyond violent to say the least. If you like torture, gore and revenge plots then look no further. This will ring your hell hard! Well done! Holds your attention the entire time even though the outcome is predictable. This will definitely make you cringe. Enjoy!
Parody?
Should be watched as an exploitation film parody, along the lines of Grindhouse. To approach it any differently makes this a very very very stupid film.

This film is savage. I felt so sorry for the girl, even though it is just a movie, it can affect you. I don't know what to make of it.
