Plot Summary
A gangster's search for the killer who took out his boss. Director Takashi Miike's masterpiece is a complex character study of two tortured souls in a battle to the death for redemption. Many critics have called this film the Japanese "Godfather" of gangster movies.

This movie turns me on.
basically a crime drama masterpiece....with oceans of gore.
to be short: its very bizarre, its very stylistic, its extremely brutal, its darkly funny to the most disturbing sense, and, yes, it is a masterpiece. if you can't stand seeing small things like a limb or two being removed, then this would be your nightmare. basically if you can't stand extreme amounts of stylistic, sometimes, seemingly, unnecessary gore (which can, and possibly will, disturb you) then you should not see this movie. if you are familiar with works of Takashi Miike and want to see another killer movie of his with his unique artistic style then this movie should be at the top of your viewing list.
Why?
To make a long story short, the English dub (a terrible one, at that) ruined it for me. Plus one for the movie, though.
