Plot Summary
Writer Craig Ferguson (TV's "The Drew Carey Show," and Host of TV's "The Late Late Show"), directs - and stars in - this light-hearted romantic comedy with singing sensation Charlotte Church in her big screen debut! A former '80s pop star has his downward spiral halted when he discovers he has a teenage daughter who was the result of a weekend love affair. Also starring Joss Ackland ("K-19: The Widowmaker," "Lethal Weapon 2"), Imelda Staunton ("Shakespeare in Love," "Sense and Sensibility") and Ralph Brown ("Star Wars: Episode I," "Amistad").

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: In a story close to her real life, Charlotte Church has no great stretches to make and she handles lines and movement with the aplomb of the outstanding concert performer that she is.
Rotten: An ill-advised vanity project that will do little to salvage its star's sullied reputation.

Must See
This movie is fabulous. Of course, for any Craig Ferguson fan it is a must see, but even if you aren't necessarily a fan of Mr. Ferguson, you will likely still enjoy this movie. I suppose it's slightly predictable, but it left me feeling warm and fuzzy inside, and also got a few laughs. I would rent this movie again.
Well Done
Much above average for the genre. Much better than I expected. Well written by Craig Ferguson, who is also a pleasure to watch. I don't like Charlotte Church's singing all that much, but I actually enjoyed watching her act because I liked her in general (which surprised me) and I really liked the script. It was a sweet and amusing and touching (but not too overly sentimental) movie, worth a rental. Just kind of hit the right spot for a lazy Sunday. (By the way, I read that Craig Ferguson in the end wasn't completely pleased with how the movie turned out after he wrote the screenplay, which I can understand, because the script could have been a five star movie rather than a three or four, but it is still worth a watch.)
:)
This is a very well-made movie, Craig Ferguson at his finest. With just the right combination of comedy and sentimentality. And Charlotte Church is as lovely and fantastic as ever, especially in the scenes when she sings. And let's face it- who doesn't want to see Craig's butt?
