Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: I'm not sure I believed a word of this film. Actors who melt down on camera are usually, well, acting. But I couldn't take my eyes off I'm Still Here.
Rotten: If we're truly witnessing the unraveling of a talented man in his prime, it's just sad. If it's all performance art, though, it's just pointless.
Rotten: Chances are the joke is on us. The problem is the joke isn't very funny. In fact, it's kind of vile.
Fresh: Phoenix and Affleck aren't merely concerned with teaching everyone a lesson -- that would be cheap. They offer us an opportunity to step through the looking glass and see the human being that sits behind the famous personality.

Watch it now!
This movie was literally astounding. Despite all the 'is he/ isn't he' stuff surrounding it, the film takes you to amazing, uncomfortable places. The truth of it is completely irrelevant.
S my D
All of you one star people can just chill, this movie makes an example out of all the D' Bags out there that buy the media's crap and have no care or concern for people...especially famous people. It is also, by far, his best performance ever. Though it seems unlikely that he would actually go off the deep end like that, he still made so many people believe he did. So for that I give him crazy props.
I think everyone should watch it, it really is a movie that makes you think about what kind of person you are.
Incredible
Had this been a real documentary, I would be very disappointed right now. It lacks a clear structure among many other things. It shows a beloved actor falling to pieces.
BUT, knowing that it's a hoax, it's amazing. Knowing, that all these moments in the movie, where I thought, he had to see, how terrible he had become, were acted, it's a brilliant performance. Not many actors would have the guts to pull this off. It's daring. It's not perfect as a movie, but absolutely has to be viewed.
It might be a bit of a mess, but it's one big beautiful mess.
If you want to see someone, who's really understood, what acting is all about, watch Joaquin.
