Plot Summary
A startling and powerful new film derived from 200 hours of footage, stills & heretofore unpublished music from John Lennon's and Yoko Ono's personal collection. A moving and revealing look at a man who was a musician, artist, writer, poet, and whose fame lives on.

Imagine all the people...
Wow! This film is great! This really digs deep into Lennon's life and his inspiration he has set on others. This film shows his life as part of Johnny and the Moondogs, The Beatles, and his own solo career. If you are a Lennon fan, I definitely reccommend this video for you. It breaks down John's inspiration, music, and revolution of the world. This video is obviously worth renting!
through lennon's lens
this is an excellent documentary/film that begins early in Lennon's career taking us through to Double Fantasy just before he was assasinated, the film is mostly spoken by Lennon and the story told by Lennon himself, which gives the film more authority than others speaking "about" Lennon. It is the world through Lennons' lens and that is a fascinating view. The images and the photography are truly excellent as is the production of this film and while it does note the Beatles, it doesn't dwell there as a "major" part of Lennon's career for Lennon did so much more than this (as did the other Beatles when they moved on). It's a fair and excellent assessment of a life cut far too short that shows us how great a talent we were robbed of by Chapman. Beautiful, informative, touching, and ultimately, it does drive home just how much we've lost - sad. My only complaint: this film is not for sale and it should be. There is no reason why this should be a rental only. How very Microsoft.
I LOVE IT THAT ITUNES HAS JOHN LENNON FILMS!
I also bought I MET THE WALRUS and ACROSS THE UNIVERSE and had a JOHN LENNON / BEATLES movie weekend. It was particularly sweet because one was a short, one was a documentary and one was a feature film / music video. This was great!
