Excellent doc on American immigrant experience
Both an educational and entertaining experience I was surprised at how good this doc actually was. The amount of research that must have gone into it, the music and all that footage from times long gone by, was just impressive. The personal narrative was also compelling and I can't say that I've seen another doc this moving in quite some time. Hats off to the filmmaker.
Fabulous Documentary
This is a beautiful documentary that explores that Italian American immigrant experience, but applies to just about any immigrant that comes to America. The stories with their challenges and triumphs were amazing to hear. The interwoven history of New York City added a whole new level of interest. I loved it! Highly recommend.
Great Film!
I truly enjoyed this documentary. It was recommended by a friend of ours who'd seen it back when it was in the New York Film Festival and loved it. It was as educational as it was entertaining, and all I can say is that our kids should be watching this in the classroom. Well done, bravo.
