Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The more its makers ... draw cheap contrasts between savagery and civility the less civil and more savage toward them you begin to feel.
Fresh: Susanne Bier's latest meditation on grief and the boundaries of family -- which won this year's foreign-film Oscar -- is a tough piece of work, subtle in some ways, obvious in others, viscerally affecting throughout.
Fresh: [An] urgent and compassionate thriller about the vicious cycle of aggression and revenge.
Fresh: An ethically ambitious, morally thoughtful - and deeply vexing - drama about the fragility of civil order and the menace of the lawless.

Amazing
I loved this movie, probably one of the best movies I have ever seen, it opened my eyes in many ways and I will probably never be the same. this movie is wonderful, thrilling, exciting and at the same time heart wrenching. Everyone should see this movie.
In A Better World
Very strong film. At first it seemed a bit uncertain as to where it's going. You have to be patient -- it pays off. As we learn more about the motivation of the characters, the film grows in intensity.
I saw it with a small group that was at first unsure, but as the film gained momentum everyone was glued to the screen. A good film with insights into Danish character and reserve.
Best Thus Far
Great no name cast! You think you know how it's going to end but you really don't. I could feel a great connection with all the characters. Great job and hope to see more from this aspiring young talent.
