Plot Summary

Flirty, flaky party girl Maggie (Cameron Diaz) and plain, dependable lawyer Rose (Toni Collette) are sisters, best friends and bitter rivals who seem to have nothing in common but size 8 1/2 feet and some family secrets. Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Collette's performance is so full of juice and the beneficiary of good dialogue that Diaz's may end up being underrated. – Mike Clark, USA Today, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Although In Her Shoes aims to rub along, with that scuffed worldliness which Hanson has made his own, it keeps bumping into the archness of the romantic-domestic genre. – Anthony Lane, New Yorker, Oct 11, 2005

Fresh: The movie gets much, much better as it goes along. – Andrew Sarris, New York Observer, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Try on these Shoes. Even if you don't like the style, you will love where they take you. – Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel, Jun 24, 2010

Worth Buying

This movie was great it show's the bond of two sisters. I loved this movie It is a great movie definitely worth the buy!!

Your Rainy Day Chick Flick

"In Her Shoes" is a typical chick flick, though has a sweet, moving story to it. The story of two sisters, one is an uptight lawyer who wants to feel better about herself while the other is a free spirited, unemployed partyer who is encouraged to become more serious and to get her act strengthened out. Throughout the movie, the sisters don't just eventually connect with one another, though themselves at the same time. Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette work well with one another, and they seem to just click with each other on screen. No one else could really capture the perfect kind of sibling conflict they had together in this film.

GREAT MOVIE

this is a great movie but i hate how people commented this movie just saying that they felt like commenting it even without seeing it
