Plot Summary
Most love stories are about losing love or finding it. This is a story about what happens in between. 'In Lieu of Flowers' follows young New Yorkers, Eric (Josh Pence) and Rachel (Spencer Grammer), two strangers on the heels of heartbreak. Much to the concern of their friends (Nate Corddry & Melissa Rauch), Eric and Rachel are finding it difficult to move on. But after a chance meeting between the two, everything starts to change. They embark on a friendship that guides them out of their respective ruts, but ultimately becomes more complicated as it develops into something more. Through it all, we accompany Eric and Rachel as they awkwardly navigate the ambiguous space between losing love and finding it, ultimately helping one another to become whole once again. "In Lieu of Flowers approaches indie romance in a fresh way," says IndieWire, while ScreenPicks writes that "Social Networks'" Josh Pence and Kelsey Grammer's daughter, Spencer Grammer, are "actors to watch for in the future."

Definitely worth seeing!
A very touching and personal love story. The script is very skillfully written and subtle. Lovely performances by the two leads. Highly recommended.
