Plot Summary

Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the best in the dangerous art of extraction: stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible--inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse; their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

"Inception" plants an epic, original idea.

"Inception" is a brilliant, epic masterpiece. Christopher Nolan spent ten years on the screenplay for "Inception", for a good reason. The film has a complex, multi-layerd storyline that asks the audience to use their minds. When I say 'complex', I mean that compared to the CGI-laden action films with no story, "Inception" asks you to think. And when you do, it's that simple. The story is an original, thrilling adventure that keeps you on the edge. The terrific ensemble cast, headed by Leonardo DiCaprio, does a brilliant job portraying a team of skilled mind-theives. Leonardo, as always, puts emotion and power in his role as Dom Cobb. The action was well-crafted and went perfectly with the story. Overall, I see no real flaws in "Inception". Mr. Nolan should take home "Best Picture", "Best Director", and "Best Original Screenplay", which he really deserved for "The Dark Knight". Two big thumbs up.
"A single idea from the human mind can build citys. An idea can transform the world, and re-write all the rules. Which is why, I have to steal it." - Dom Cobb

Christopher Nolan's Dream is Real!

10 years ago, Nolan began writing the screenplay for Inception based on ideas he conceived at the age of 16. After masterfully directing the Dark Knight, Nolan was given the green light to make his lifelong dream, Inception, become real. This is Nolan's masterpiece. Everything from the mind-blowing plot to the surreal visuals is perfect. All of the members of the A-list cast bring their A-game to Inception. Hans Zimmer's impeccable soundtrack is absolutely wonderful. Zimmer brilliantly combines the western style of Ennio Morricone with a modern orchestra and dreamy, electronic sounds. The revolutionary special effects include a zero-gravity sequence that is absolutely jaw-dropping. The innovative plot leaves audiences questioning the threads of reality. The Oscars better watch out! Inception is not only the best film of 2010, but also the most intellectually stimulating masterpiece of our generation.

Best movie ever? Um, yeah.

I just wanted to say this is my favorite movie ever (and I watch a LOT of movies)!

The plot was air-tight, the dialogue smart and savvy, the cinematography was perfect, and the special effects? Quite possibly the best I've ever seen. It unapologetically throws you into its masterfully realized world, and doesn't stop to make sure you understand everything, but at the same time isn't mind-numbingly confusing, most of it makes sense if you think about it.

Anyways, fantastic movie, best I've ever seen. Definately buying it the second it hits shelves.

As a side note: the soundtrack is pretty epic too.
