Plot Summary
Inside Jerusalem: Identity and the Ancient Past, filmed in Jerusalem, Qumran, and the exciting, new archaeological site of Khirbet Qeiyafa, is an archaeology-adventure film for gifted students in high-school and introductory level college courses. Two world class scholars and recipients of the Israel Prize in 2009, archaeologist Amihai Mazar and Dead Sea Scrolls scholar Emanuel Tov, present a neutral point of view of the basic facts of the archaeology and history of Jerusalem. Also, personal interviews at Khirbet Qeiyafa and how it relates to Jerusalem with excavators Yossi Garfinkel and Michael Hasel and student archaeologists and volunteers filmed during the excavation season. Hosted and narrated by Shani Atias, a young model and trained actress born and raised in Israel's most integrated Arab-Jewish city of Haifa.

This film was released April 28 2011 in Jerusalem, Israel at the City of David Theater at the City of David Archaeology Park in Jerusalem, Israel. The theater is located on the very exact place where archaeologists believe the Palace of King David was located and is a reconstruction of the palace hall itself. This documentary was very insightful about Jerusalem and its Ancient past. I greatly enjoyed learning about this archeological prize. The young actress Shani Atias was great, and her look perfectly fit the film! Very Well Done!
