Worth your time.

Warning - This movie has a slower pace than most American movies, however, it does it successfully. Often times slower movies end up with long boring patches, but whether by luck or purpose, the timing is well done.

The characters are interesting as you think about their actions and how they might proceed, but more importantly, the characters themselves seem to be contemplating their own current and past actions. It's a pleasure to watch a movie that is thoughtful without being pretentious, and at the same time, doesn't assume it's viewers are stupid.

The premise is simple enough, but there is no real exposition regarding it. You learn little bits about the nature of good and bad luck over the course of the movie (at least the mythology of it presented in this film). But unlike other thrillers, it isn't about the game and what the movie's resolution might be, it's about the characters playing the game.

I rented it on a whim, and am glad I did. At 99 cents, it's a steal, watch it.

Superb Psychological Thriller

The idea is original, the set up very compelling and you just can't help but continue to watch. I loved this psychological thriller. It is a foreign movie which I am a big fan of.

Awesome Movie!!!

Never been one to search out foriegn movies. The few I have seen where very good. This one is the top of my foriegn list right now. Caught it on IFC (Independent Film Channel) late one night while channel surfing. It had already been on 30 min. and it still pulled me in!
It's a Spainish movie (shot on location in Spain) about gambling. That's all I'll say. Trust me, this by no means will spoil the plot for you. This movie goes way deeper than that.
What kept me on the edge of my seat is the way these people gamble and all the superstitions and customes they associate with it. It really blows your mind if you are not familiar with this culture.
Also, you are constantly finding out more and more about the characters as the movie progresses. You become endeared to certain characters and alienated towards others. It's a story that continues to reveal its self the entire time you watch.
If you're a fan of a good Thriller and you like movies than force you to think while your watching them, Intacto is the movie for you!!
