Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Claire Denis's magnificent enigma of a film explores the troubled soul of a brooding loner who travels halfway around the world to begin a new life.
Fresh: A beautiful, complex work that challenges viewers to mentally sift interior and exterior journeys.
Fresh: Never has Denis demanded so much from audiences as with this shimmering enigma, at once intimate and epic, but it's worth the effort and then some.
Fresh: The Intruder ... is exhilarating and exhausting, the kind of picture you don't bounce back from immediately.

Lets get something straight
Bruce Campbell appears for 2 seconds at the end of this movie, and while I LOVE slashers, this one is a little tough to get through due to the pacing which at times is glacial.
Cut Version or I would give it more stars
All of the over-the-top, most effective and impressive KNB gore effects are missing from this version, but whatever. The random point of view shots, the (incredible...?) dialogue, the creepy music, and setting make this a fun movie. If you like campy slasher movies, you'll like this one. Or you won't. But you should. Because Scott Spiegel.
Bruce campbell delivers!
If you liked bruce campbell mindlessly killing things in the evil dead series then you most certainly enjoy this low-budget grindhouse type of film.............for entertainment purposes and bruce campbell fans, then on a workin' wednesday night-mildly sober at 1pm you will love this.... I kno i did....
