One of the Few Great Remakes!

If you're looking for a great "monster movie" or glitzy special effects, you best look elsewhere. However, if you want a creepily disturbing sci-fi/horror story that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, you won't be disappointed! While I typically dislike almost all remakes and reboots, this is one of the exceptions that is at least as good if not better than the original (1956) version. This is in large part due to Philip Kaufman's story-telling ability (The Right Stuff, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Henry & June, Rising Sun) and great cast. I've waited for years for iTunes to release this title and can't wait to watch it again!

I agree with Kethyr

Most remakes are garbage, but this film still holds up.

I actually like it better then the original.

Donald Sutherland is excellent in this film.
