Plot Summary

Donnie Yen (Iron Monkey, Wing Chun) returns in this semi-sequel to the martial arts masterpiece. This time, Donnie takes on the persona of the legendary Iron Monkey, as he fights corrupt warlords in war-torn China. However, when the Iron Monkey agrees to help revolutionaries in their battle against evil arms smugglers, he finds himself face to face with the Snow Fox, and infamous assassin determined to make Iron Monkey his next prized trophy. With wall-to-wall fight scenes, amazing martial arts choreography, and a spectacular climactic duel, Iron Money 2 is heart-pumping, bona fide kung fu fighting!

Seems the tomato review is for a different movie

This film is fairly entertaining. The athletic abilities of the 3 main characters are outstanding. Lots of not-believable action keeps the pace fairly respectable. The plot is similarly dubious but this is actually stimulating (mildly) as you struggle to imagine what the director could have been thinking. The most unique feature is the main villain's conspicuously bad teeth. I guess this implies bad breath, an indicator of a villainous personality that has been too often overlooked in cinema. The second Tomato mentions Yuen, who is absent from the listed credits. Could be a misspelling but makes me think that someone at iTunes posted the wrong review. Altogether, a fortunately short movie.

Not really a sequel

If you are looking for a film similar to Iron Monkey, you will be sorely disappointed. This is a crudely done, cheesy film without any link to the original. It does have Donnie Yen in it for sure, but even the fight scenes are not filmed particularly well.
