Plot Summary
Laugh-out-loud funny and seductively sweet, IS IT JUST ME? is a gay romantic comedy about one guy's search for Mr. Right. Adorable Blaine (Nicholas Downs) can't seem to meet guys, let alone find a relationship. His handsome go-go dancer roommate Cameron, who has no shortage of willing partners, can't understand why he doesn't just pounce and enjoy some one-nighters. Instead, Blaine hides in chat rooms where he meets Xander, a shy recently relocated Texan. But when the time comes to exchange photos, Blaine accidently sends an image of his hunky roomie, and things go from romantically promising to downright confusing. Full of witty charm, IS IT JUST ME? is a bona fide feel-good winner!

A nice romantic movie, but forumulaic.
I enjoyed it. But it isn't great cinema. There aren't many gay movies out there that COULD be great cinema, in my opinion. However, this one was light and a refreshing break from the typical plotlines of Gay vs Straight, or Coming Out. The plot is the latest rehash in a case of Mistaken Identiy, that brings about the question "What do you REALLY love about someone? Their Looks? or Their Heart?" That was a fad in movie themes that started with Steve Martin's movie "Roxanne" and has themed itself into many popular Teen Romance movies over the last decade. There are a few "oh, come on now" moments. But all in all an enoyable movie for the young and gay at heart. I'd say it's somewhere between "All over the guy" and "Latter Days" as far as quality of acting, and script writing, and film quality.
Good Movie
Not very good at writing reviews, but this is one of the higher quality gay themed movies. Definitely worth watching.
brought a tear to my eye, made me smile
this movie was perfect. exactly what i needed to watch. leaves all of us with a little bit of hope, which was more than i bargained for when i rented it a few hours ago :)
