Plot Summary

Just as exciting and intriguing as when it was first released in the 1950s, It Came from Outer Space is a classic sci-fi tale of terror and paranoia. When amateur astronomer John Putnam (Richard Carlson) and his fiancée (Barbara Rush) spot a spaceship crash-landing in the desert, the nearby townspeople refuse to believe their outlandish claim. But when locals start disappearing – only to be replaced by alien clones – it’s up to John to find out what the extraterrestrials’ real motives are before chaos consumes the town. Based on a story by acclaimed writer Ray Bradbury, it’s a fun and frantic tale about “first contact” between two curious species.

Fresh: [A] scary black-and-white SF effort from 1953. – Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Reader, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: The 3-D process leaves the image somewhat murky, but you can discern sparks of authentic pulp poetry throughout. – Geoff Andrew, Time Out, Aug 17, 2007

A Fun Movie

This is no sci fi special effects mega-start blowout bash - its just a fun movie.
Old movies are a step back in time. See how things change.

P.S.
After watching this movie I had to listen to Siouxsie and the Banshees "92 degrees" - you will see .....
