Plot Summary
Jack and Diane, two teenage girls, meet on a summer day in New York City and spend the night kissing ferociously. Bubbly and naïve, Diane’s charming innocence quickly begins to open tomboy Jack’s tough-skinned heart. However, when Jack discovers that Diane is moving at the end of the summer, she pushes Diane away. Diane is overwhelmed by her powerful new feelings, and they begin to manifest themselves in terrifying ways, causing unexplainable, violent changes to her body. Young love is a monster – can Jack and Diane survive?

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: "Jack & Diane" offers a glaring example of a writer and director, Bradley Rust Gray, unable to trust in the simple strength of his material.
Rotten: A well-constructed, well-intentioned but too deliberate attempt to provoke the unprovokable.
Rotten: Throughout, the filmmaking is tentative, as though Gray is unsure whether he wants to make a fantasy-tinged romance or a hyper-sexualized blood-fest. (He winds up with neither.)
Rotten: Bradley Rust Gray's attempt to weave horror elements into a fairly conventional narrative yields diminishing returns in this overly stylized effort.

Emotional Gore
Jack and Diane holds tension in both fists for 90 minutes, and wrings the gut as though there really were a monster to watch out for. There isn't. The monster is Need, Lust, Pride, Frustration-- Angst, summarily-- rather than any sort of being, but the idea is aptly wielded to capture young lesbian love in all of its violently emotional (and painfully awkward) stages. It is a sweet film, really, well acted, and gore is there, it's just. You know. Emotional gore. Worth the watch; this film handles itself in a refreshingly different nature.
Really bad movie
Jack & Diane was really badly done. The storyline made no sense. The characters were not developed at all. The continuous reference to the 'beast' was ridiculous. I felt it was a waste of 9.99 plus tax.
Must watch, great movie! :)
If you're thinking about watching this film but have read some "bad" reviews and are reconsidering, ignore them. I think this is such a great film, sweet and simple. I didn't expect nothing more, or anything less than what I saw. Juno Temple and Riley Keough have great Chemistry and their dialogue is great. The so called werewolf metaphor didn't really bother me, it was a bit strange, but it wasn't that bad, that's not what this film is about. So, epic story short, just watch this film and you won't regret it :)
