Music in trailer

Hi Chuck. The music in the trailer is an Icelandic song called Til er fræ. It's also on the soundtrack to the movie (which has some great songs by an Icelandic men's choir--really ominous and moody). Unfortunately iTunes doesn't carry the soundtrack but you can get it at icelandicmusic dot com. Just search for Mýrin (the name of the movie in Icelandic).

Also, this is such a lame trailer. The movie is far better than the trailer. It's crime procedural, but it also gets at aspects of Icelandic society—bleakness of winter, the importance of independence and self-sufficiency, dark humor, etc. Anyway, you will feel cold and wet by the time you finish it, which is kind of like walking around in Reykjavík in January. Mos def not fodder for an uplifting evening, but a good flick overall.

Music help on this trailer

Can anyone tell me what the music is on this trailer...thanks. Great movie and worth downloading and watching on Itunes.

Don't judge a movie by its trailer...

I love this movie! But I love Scandinavian mysteries and thrillers anyway. The book is outstanding and I highly recommend it and the movie did it great justice in my opinion.
It has been a long time since I was last in Iceland and this movie made me realize why I love Scandinavia so much. The people and the land are one. There is a seamlessness in the culture and that with the land. The land is the people and the people are part of the landscape.
This is a police procedural but also a look at the inside of the persons involved. Which is very typical of Scandinavian mysteries. To look inside the crime and find the humanity of it.
