Plot Summary

Oscar winner Juliette Binoche (Best Supporting Actress, The English Patient, 1996; Chocolat) and Jean Reno (Ronin, The Professional) soar together in a wonderfully fun and sexy comedy where opposites don't just attract, they collide! Pampered beauty queen Rose (Binoche) and over-stressed insomniac Felix (Reno) have only one thing in common: they're through with bad relationships and have both sworn off the opposite sex. So when an airline strike grounds these total strangers together in Paris - and they're forced to share the last available hotel room in town - neither can wait to leave the other behind. But the more they try to go their separate ways, the more obvious it becomes that there's no place else they'd rather be!

Rotten: Jet Lag is a time-waster that might be diversionary on a dull cross-Atlantic flight -- but only in the absence of alternatives. – Edward Guthmann, San Francisco Chronicle, Jul 30, 2003

Rotten: Jet Lag is sort of a grown-up version of Before Sunrise... The difference between the two films is sort of depressing. – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: An enjoyable getaway into retro romance. – Carrie Rickey, Philadelphia Inquirer, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Manages to surprise and absorb the viewer in ways that your typical 'meet cute' romance never would. – Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel, Jun 24, 2010

Horribly Dubbed Version Instead of Original Subtitled French.

I have seen and loved this film previously. But this version is TERRIBLE. It is a badly dubbed version. The dubbing doesn't match the character's lip movements. This film should be marked as dubbed rather than in its original French. I will be asking for a refund for this film, which is annoyingly unwatchable.

Great movie - in the original language

Better in French with English subtitles. I would pay for that, if it were available. This is a movie that seems to lose "something" in translation. Bit of a bummer the subtitled version is not available. Oh well.

best movie but poorly dubbed

it is a great movie, one of my favorite ones! so far Russian dubbed version and, i guess, the original are the best. The English version, which I have rented here, is poorly dubbed … better watch it in French with English subtitles.
