Plot Summary
Academy Award-winner Oliver Stone's ("Natural Born Killers," "Born on the Fourth of July") highly acclaimed and Academy Award-winning docudrama chronicles New Orleans district attorney Jim Garrison's investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy - controversially putting to the test some of the incredible details of the official "single assassin" and "magic bullet" explanations that have quietly plagued the nation for decades. Academy Award-winning superstar Kevin Costner ("Rumor Has It," "The Bodyguard") heads a tremendous all-star cast, with the real Garrison in an ironic cameo as future Supreme Court Justice Earl Warren, of the government's infamous Warren Commission. Leonard Maltin acclaims this dramatic tale as "absolutely riveting. . . superb. . . Oscar-winner for Robert Richardson's cinematography and Joe Hutshing and Pietro Scalia's phenomenal editing."

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The film's insurmountable problem is the vast amount of material it fails to make coherent sense of.
Fresh: As speculation, JFK is riveting. As proof, it's bunk. Stone has turned what he considers the crime of the century into a disturbing anomaly -- a dishonest search for truth.
Fresh: Costner may not resemble the real Garrison much ... but the actor, in a low-key but forceful performance, nicely conveys the requisite grit, curiosity and fearlessness.
Fresh: Compelling info-ganda.

Every American Should See This
I have been reading up on John F. Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald for about 3-5 months now, and have been intriuged ever since. Believe what you want to believe, about Lee, the FBI, and the Grassy Knolls, this movie will clear some of it up for you. I think every American should see this because it is part of our history, and we should pay attention...it could happen again. Let's not let history repeat itself. Hey! Maybe one day we'll find out the real truth about how our beloved President was assassinated and who really killed him. Please...At least rent the movie...it is ground-breaking...and heart-breaking at the same time. Watch it! You won't be sorry.
one of the greatest movies!
Do not let the length scare you away. This movie is very well acted and directed. This is another vital piece of information that proves once again that the Kennedy Assassination was in fact a conspiracy. This is a historic film that is very underrated, and is directed by the legendary Oliver Stone. Buy this movie!
Don't let politics get in the way of a good movie
This movie is amazing, in it's storytelling, in the acting, in all aspects. If you don't agree with it, it's no reason to trash the film.
