Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: The movie coasts on the charms of its rubber-faced star and its witty, easygoing set pieces.
Rotten: Fans of sophisticated humor may feel empathy with, if not sympathy for, the lead character on those many occasions he is kicked in the nuts.
Rotten: Johnny English isn't reborn so much as reheated, and his aim hasn't improved after all these years.
Rotten: After a fast, funny start, the new sequel, "Johnny English Reborn,'' proves to be more of the same.

A SLAPSTICK SPY MOVIE WITH GREAT LAUGHS!
I've been a fan of Rowan Atkinson for as long as I can remember. He's one of the few great slapstick comedians out there that can still genuinely make me laugh. I saw the first "Johnny English" movie back when I was a kid, so I thought it'd be nice to see the sequel since the trailer made it look promisingly hysterical. And for the most part, I got almost exactly what I expected. The physical humor was often hilarious, the running gags were clever, and the action scenes were surprisingly well executed. If I had to nitpick at all, I'd only say that Atkinson's schtick as an incompetent, yet somehow brilliant dimwit of an agent can get a little tired after a while. But other than that, the film was a nonsensically hilarious good time. In fact, it was even better than the first! With great comic timing, family-friendly humor, and pratfalls galore, "Johnny English Reborn" is a total blast! Don't listen to the critics this time. It's a movie that's well worth seeing more than once.
I laughed so hard I was embarrassed!
One of my favorite movies of the year. SO FUNNY! But is was kid friendly so I can see why the hardened viewers of today's movies might not like it. No sex and no swears. No drug use and blood, just super great physical comedy. My whole family Loved it!! (Ages 4, 6, 10, 12, 15, 16, 41 and 46)
Johnny
